create RMAN catalog in catalog database and register target database

Create rman user in recovery catalog database

Here it is oracle10g – 10.2.0.4

CREATE USER RMAN112D

IDENTIFIED BY VALUES ‘***’

DEFAULT TABLESPACE RMAN112D

TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP

PROFILE DEFAULT

ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

GRANT RECOVERY_CATALOG_OWNER TO RMAN112D;

GRANT RESOURCE TO RMAN112D;

ALTER USER RMAN112D DEFAULT ROLE ALL;

GRANT CREATE SESSION TO RMAN112D;

GRANT SELECT ANY DICTIONARY TO RMAN112D;

GRANT UNLIMITED TABLESPACE TO RMAN112D;

rcatd:/u01/oracle > rman target / catalog rman112d/****@rcatd

Recovery Manager: Release 10.2.0.4.0 – Production on Fri Jul 23 10:30:31 2010
